The Terror recs post?

thewrongkindofpcSo my horror-watching buddies and I finally got around to The British Navy Is A Nightmare: Icecapades Edition, a.k.a. The Terror, and strixalba and I had a whole spiral into the fanworks and fandom experience. We were explaining to the rest of Unofficial Horror Club that while tossing links back and forth is a blast, the things we were there for were, to put it mildly, a bit different, and we resolved to put together our significantly different recs lists. Here's mine.
Why save the best for last when you can start there? My favorite series of art that I've seen is the AU where the various factions of the ships are in heavy metal bands, found HERE, and one where Silna is, HERE. I am especially fond of the Mutineers band pics with Hickey's scheming little rat face.

HERE is some truly gorgeous art for a Moby Dick AU fic I have not read.

Pairings: Thomas Jopson/Lt Edward Little, Lt Edward Little/Sgt Solomon Tozer, Cornelius Hickey/Sgt Solomon Tozer, Thomas Hartnell/Lt John Irving, Thomas Armitage/Solomon Tozer
AU where they're in academia in various kinds of study of the poles. Beautiful writing, interesting spinning out of the minor characters into something layered and fascinating, interesting reinterpretation of the show's takes on class as a factor within an imperialist structure.
